Risking everything to transform himself and breach Gold society, Darrow has battled to survive the cutthroat rivalries that breed Society's mightiest warriors, climbed the ranks, and waited patiently to unleash the revolution that will tear the hierarchy apart from within.

Finally, the time has come.

But devotion to honor and hunger for vengeance run deep on both sides. Darrow and his comrades-in-arms face powerful enemies without scruple or mercy. Among them are some Darrow once considered friends. To win, Darrow will need to inspire those shackled in darkness to break their chains, unmake the world their cruel masters have built, and claim a destiny too long denied - and too glorious to surrender.

Review

First of all, before I forget, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to whoever decided to put a brief summary of the previous two books at the beginning of the third and last book of the series.

Please authors of series across the world, take example, because as much as I loved your books, after one year of waiting for the next book of the series, there's a good chance that I've probably forgot what happened.

If you're reading this review you've probably read the first two book of the series so I'm not going to consider them spoiler.

We left Darrow captured by the enemies after his plan has failed and, probably like me, we were all dying to know about his faith. Well as you can imagine, since you know how the book works, it wasn't really bright... at all.

There is a nine months time jump and we soon learn that Darrow is a prisoner and as spend most of his capture time inside a box.

Like the previous novels, the story is divided into 4 books, each one of them as a purpose. You can imagine that Darrow won't be inside that box for long or nothing would have happened in the other 500 pages. We find new characters and others that we've learnt to love.

Someone will die, someone will fight and others will surprise you.

One thing is sure, you can't not love Brown's writing. The worlds he describes are perfect in every detail, in your head you can really imagine this sci-fi future. The plot id fast pacing, action after action, you're never bored. The violent scenes are a bit too detailed, too much blood! LOL!!!!

I'm not giving it a full five stars because some of the plot twists were predictable.... and I'll just leave it to that because I don't want to spoil it.

I've just discovered that there's going to be a sequel trilogy: Iron Gold. I'm so happy about it.
